Minimally invasive and highly accurate
A new era of communication through brain signals
Our Story
BMI for minimally invasive measurement of intracranial electroencephalograms over a wide area of the brain
ivec Co., Ltd., a university-based startup, is developing an intravascular EEG Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) that can be used without craniotomy for patients with severe paralysis due to neurological diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Our intravascular electrodes are designed to be placed in veins at various locations on the surface and deep within the brain to measure intracranial electroencephalograms. We aim to use these devices to assist communication in ALS patients and improve their quality of life.
